As part of a Salute to Cows promotion, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Low A; Midwest League) will take the field as the Wisconsin Udder Tuggers on June 20. The change in identity is a part of the team’s Salute to Cows promotion which is presented by Agropur, Simon’s Specialty Cheese, and biPro. Salute to Cows was created to celebrate American’s Dairyland during Dairy Month in June.
The players and coaches will wear special-designed hats and jerseys for the game against the Clinton LumberKings. Jerseys will be available in an online charity auction with proceeds going to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Charity Fund through www.timberrattlersauctions.com
Fans will be able to order t-shirts and hats with the Wisconsin Udder Tuggers logo from the Snake Pit Team Store both online and at the store in Neuroscience Group Field now.
“We started Salute to Cows several years ago and it has been one of our biggest nights of every season. The dairy industry is still very important to the state of Wisconsin and the change to the Udder Tuggers for the night is our way to show support for the dairy industry and also a nod to the dairy farmers of the past,” said Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav. “We hope our fans have fun with the new twist on the night.”
The first 1,000 fans to attend the game on that night will receive a Timber Rattlers beach towel from Agropur, Simon’s Specialty Cheese, and biPro.
